About Me

Who am I?

I’m just a Miami homeowner. Same as a lot of people reading this — somebody who saved up for a while, hired a licensed pro to replace my roof, and trusted that things would more or less go the way they were supposed to.

What’s my name?

I’m not including my name, or anyone else’s, here, because I’m a private person and don’t feel it’s right to put anyone’s personal information online — no matter the circumstance. While putting together this site, I made sure to redact everyone’s names, signatures, and other personally identifiable info from all of the documents I published, in an effort to extend that same level of privacy even to the people who treated me poorly. (You know who you are.) Some faces are visible in photos and video taken at my home and on the street outside it, though no one is named.

But rest assured, A&E Brothers Roofing knows my name.

Why this site?

Because it’s the friends you make along the way. When I hired A&E Brothers Roofing, I thought I was getting a roof, but what I got was a life lesson. A very expensive life lesson. And rather than seethe about it, I thought it would be more useful for me, and maybe other people, to just write about my experience.
